Karachi: the Pakistan Cricket Board today took some intriguing decisions as Moin Khan's appointment as Manager and recalling several players as they announced three separate squads for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe.

Resting, left arm PACER, Muhammad Irfan, and left-handed batsman Nasir Jamshed for two test matches was the ultimate solution to the National selectors, who also included uncapped Middle-order batsman, Sohaib Maqsood Twenty20 team.

However, it was recalled that there were too many. Imran Farhat, dropped after the Champions Trophy had already returned, as opener Khurrum Manzoor, who alongwith last played in Australia in 2010.

Former Captain and senior batsman Younis Khan, top order batsman Azhar Ali, Adnan Akmal, wicketkeeper and PACER, Ehsan Adil, dropped after the tour of South Africa, were recalled to the test side.

Most interestingly, Ehsan, since South Africa tour was an impressive performer in the T20 and ODI matches. Also reminded the T20 and ODI squads was a fist, Anwar Ali, who last played in the 2009 year in T20 series in Canada.

Return Eunice for testing expected, after he was sidelined for the Champions Trophy one-day series in the West Indies.

But it was a judgment call Moin as Manager after the end of the daytime Akram Cheema with the West Indies, that came as a surprise, because it is after a long time, that the Council called the cricket as a Manager.

It should be noted that Moin, suddenly in favor with the Board, was also named Chief selector last month, but before he can pick any team appointed interim President, Najam Sethi was suspended due to a decision of the High Court of Islamabad.

Apparently in the Council, which currently makes decisions on a day-to-day basis after consultation with the Attorney General of Pakistan, decided to compensate for Moin. Pakistan, which leaves for Zimbabwe on August 19, will play two Twenty20 matches on Aug. 23 and 24 in Harare and three Odis on 27, 29 and 31.

Two tests are scheduled from 3 September in Harare are and Bulawayo from September 10.
